The reliability study is the most important part of engineering design process, as it basis analysis and assessment future product performance in exploitation. Since cannot be predicted with absolute certainty, application theory includes probability unreliability modeling. proposed approach has been applied to assess gear planetary power transmissions. system was determined on block diagram method, a function individual components, calculated by statistical analysis. Using Weibull model, defined failure teeth results were interpreted component entire train. For more precise avoid modeling every mode occurrence, competitive risk model developed. conducted “bottom-up” approach. Reliability assessed, for instantaneous, estimated assigned failures rate train component.
